ADCC WEST COAST TRIALS

This past weekend was marked by intense competition at the ADCC West Coast Trials, where some of the world’s best jiu-jitsu fighters gathered to compete for coveted spots in the prestigious ADCC tournament. For the uninitiated, ADCC, or Abu Dhabi Combat Club, is considered one of the most prestigious grappling championships in the world, attracting elite athletes and fervent fans of the sport.

Among the highlights of the event, male champions were crowned in different weight categories. Deandre Corbe (@deandre_corbe) emerged as the champion in the up to 66kg category, while Andrew Tackett (@tackett.andrew) dominated the up to 77kg category. In the up to 88kg category, William Tackett (@tackett_jiujitsu) showcased his skills, securing the title, while Michael Pixley (@pixley7) took home the victory in the up to 99kg category. In the categories above 99kg, Mike Perez (@pichaelmerez) displayed his strength and technique to claim the top of the podium.

In the women’s competition, athletes also shone. Jasmine Rocha (@jasminerochabjj) clinched the title in the up to 55kg category, while Helena Crevar (@helenajiujitsugirl) demonstrated her superiority in the up to 65kg category. Meanwhile, in the over 65kg category, Lyzz Mitrovic (@ms_daemonette) showcased her dominance, securing the win.

In addition to the thrilling battles on the mat, the event was also marked by competitors’ anticipation for the qualifying event for the main stage of the ADCC in Las Vegas, scheduled for August 16th. For many, this is the golden opportunity to face the world’s best and leave their mark on the sport’s history.
